Advocacy work of Forum to date

Meetings with the Department of Health:

FACS Forum met with the Secretary General for the Department of Health in 2014.


Meetings with the Health Products Regulatory Authority:

FACS Forum Ireland had met with the HPRA on three occasions between November 2014 and February 2016.


Meetings with the HSE:

FACS Forum has met with the HSE on a number of occasions to feed into the process of developing the toolkit in Ireland, to ascertain the extent of the issue in Ireland and to seek an appropriate clinical pathway for diagnosis and support.


Meeting with Sanofi:

FACS Forum met with Sanofi once in September 2016.


FACS in the Oireachtas:

Representatives of the Forum met with Senator John Dolan in February 2017.

Senator John Dolan raised the issue of FACS with Minister for Health Simon Harris during a Joint Committee on Health on the 22nd February 2017. Minister Simon Harris committed to meeting the Forum and setting up a meeting between the Forum and the HPRA.
